Image of the Day 9-10-09 Best Space Picture Ever

0

I have been waiting and waiting to get this site started! I will post a new Image of the Day here each and every day for your viewing pleasure. I do hope you enjoy.

When I saw this image I knew this has to be the first one I used.

It is an image sent back from the Hubble Telescope. The image is from a region in Omega Centauri. Omega Centauri is a cluster of nearly 10 million stars, most of which are between 10 and 12 billion years old. It is located about 16,000 light-years from earth.

I am pretty sure this picture shows ALL 10 million of the stars!
